Nestle ‘to act over child labour in cocoa industry’

Greetings from The Slave Detective,

I love to also bring good news stories. One of the subjects I’ve been harping on about is the power of public opinion. A great example of this is a story today in The BBC . It even has a short video clip with it (for those like me who like pictures to make life easy!)

The headline is backed up by the header “Global food giant Nestle says it has taken a major step to end child labour on cocoa farms supplying its factories.”

It is a great example how the public can have a voice in fighting Human Trafficking by using FAIR TRADE. You can make a difference when you chose what you buy. Look at the Fair Trade web page.
